Depending on design, generally manholes provide access to the inside of gas pipeline, reduce gas surging and protect centrifugal boosters from large foreign objects. Manholes are basically end gates, on studs or quick-release, welded on to 530 mm-diameter branch of T-piece with main line diameter from 530 to 1420 mm, that find their main application on major gas lines carrying non-corrosive gases and gas condensate at operating pressure up to 11.8 MPa.
Manhole designs available upon request are provided with:
- quick-release flap& wedge gate (ZBKLK);
- quick-release end bayonet catches (ZBKB);
- flanged end gates(ZKF);
- left or right designs;
- strainers (screen types ZR1 and ZR2);
- pulsation dampers (UP);
- electric and mechanical actuation options (EM).
Manholes are available with other kinds of gates allowed for use by Russian RTN authority and compliant with Gazprom specifications.
